Any one like to be a backpacker?

There are some unfortunate stereotypes associated with backpackers.  Luckily, we seem to have very few in Ningbo.

It's a good way to regulate the way of life,right?

It sounds nice.  But, there reality of backpacking is quite different.  Backpackers are infamous in Asia, especially in Thailand.

Hi,Craig,you must mistake my meaning of backpacker.

I mean the people who like travel,but they hike and live in camp when in the mountains.

just so you know sunny, the term "backpacker" in common usage generally refers to young, low-budget adventure- travelers. They usually carry all of their stuff in oversized hiking backpacks and tend to frequent low-budget youth hostels and have an aversion to showering. They tend to come from developed countries and find the idea of living cheap and filthy to be liberating. From my experience their most common hunting ranges include Europe, East Africa, and SE Asia. As low-spending, heavy-drinking young partyers, they are often as much trouble as benefit to the countries they frequent. Most recent sighting: Hainan

Ah, it appears that we have a difference of usage.  It would be more correct for Sunny to use the word "hiker".  The term "backpacker", while accurate, has cultural meaning to Westerners.  

Let's hope Ningbo stays backpacker-free for a long time.  The only ones I usually meet are stopping on their way to Zhoushan and Putuoshan.

I Love to be a backpacker but  Travelling probably not because I have done that a lot. What I would like to do is Hike. This is my no if you intrested in hike's 13757434393

i'm not gonna say lots of backpackers in ningbo but there so many local people especailly young people who love to hiking, camping... they may not a real backpacker in western culture, however some of their passion is out of my imagaination... 

I have no idea how those packers enjoy their journey with such a heavy slump on their back! I hate even carrying a hand bag when I am out to have fun.
