About Us

Ningbo Guide is the English-language advertising company of Ningbo, China. Ningbo is a second-tier city in the Yangtze River Delta, China’s most dynamic and prosperous region. We are 2½ hours from Shanghai via the Hangzhou Bay Bridge. Ningbo has been an important port in China for centuries, and the businesslike nature of its native people make it a great place to earn profit.  

We are not an “expat magazine” - Ningbo Guide serves the entire English-speaking population of Ningbo. This consists of visiting foreigners, resident foreigners, and English-speaking Chinese. We reach this audience by four means: this website www.NingboGuide.com, our monthly printed magazine, an email list with 3000+ opt-in subscribers, and our SMS Blast party list with 200+ opt-in subscribers.

We were founded in 2005 with www.NingboGuide.com website. Ningbo Guide magazine launched in June 2007. It is a monthly publication aimed at Ningbo's English-speaking community. The magazine is available at all 5-star hotels, at all international restaurants and bars, and many other locations in Ningbo and throughout China.
