Ningbo Grand Theatre was founded in 2004. It was designed by Frederic Rolland, a famous French architect. It has a theatre with 1500 seats and a multi-function theatre with 800 seats. Ningbo Grand Theatre also has an exhibition hall, boat dock, shopping mall, night club, and a restaurant. The unique 1:1 copy of Michelangelo's famous statue "David " is standing in the square of the Grand Theatre. This bronze statue was a gift to the people of Ningbo from the city of Florence, Italy.

The Ningbo Grand Theatre recently closed a contract with a Broadway entertainment company, Nederland New Century, and they plan to bring in some Broadway dramas such as The King and I, I Love You, West Side Story, and so on. Look for the information posted on Ningbo Guide in the future.
