New Website Design!

A little dark in the out frame design makes the whole website sounds not very bright and clear like former one.,

 and "MENU,etc. sectors showed in the below bottom of page in my computer ,can put them to close the top and right side.

 Etc.

If it ain't broke don't fix it!!!

Why was it redesigned?

Everything seems smaller and is a bit too hard on the eyes.

I am always for reasonable modernization, it might be that you re-programmed the site for more modern language, but either I am not smart enough or something went wrong:

why I cannot see now almost all pictures, like maps, user pictures an so on?

Everything was OK before. Have tried to open the site in IE, Opera, Firefox - same thing, pictures are blocked, although my settings allow pictures to be displayed.

I can't see pictures either, but I support this new website design. it is much more organized and cleaner, making it much more efficient and pleasing to the eye. 

Yes, there is some problem with the pictures.  We're working on it.  Thanks for letting us know! Not only did we have a new design, but our provider moved us to a new computer, so there will be some more weird problems.  Post here with anything that you see.

Now the forum looks a bit different.  Better? 

The pages look cleaner and clearer, but the site navigation defies many web site usability rules. This makes it difficult to find links and navigate around the site. For instance, if you want to find today's weather, you have to page down to find the link... most people only look at the top part of a web page, which is why the navigation links are usually found there.

 navigation make the looking a little hard and inconvenient,however ,some sectors moved to the top make the original menu short ,it looks good ,and some small functions added also make new feeling!

You have to page down to see "Ningbo Weather"?  How big is your screen?  This design is supposed to fit on a standard 1024x768 desktop.  My screen is 768 pixels tall, and I see the whole navigation menu, finishing with "Links".

My god, i can't find the place to put the ads on Job Wanted.....

It's good looking of the new site, but not as convenient as the old one. Sees that it took long time to be up on it.

Upgraded our back-end software this morning, so if there are any weird problems, please post here! There is a new button on the forum, "Recently Popular", which will show the most clicked pages of the website.

I'm working on getting the calendar fixed.  I upgraded its software as well, and the size problem just got worse.

Due to popular demand, the old blue theme is still available!  Just visit your user profile (click "My Account" on the top menu) and then click "edit".  Scroll down and select "garland" under Theme Configuration.  You will see the old website style, but some parts of the website might look strange.
