Ningbo Lishe Airport (code: NGB) is located southwest of the city, about 20 minutes by car. From Ningbo airport, you can travel to most cities in China. However, Hong Kong, Macau, and Seoul are the only international destinations. Travelers should connect at Shanghai Pu Dong Airport for most international flights.

There is a shuttle bus from the airport to downtown. It leaves whenever it fills up, from 8am until evening, for ¥12. If you have 2 or more people, it's usually better to get a taxi, unless you're just transferring to the train station or bus station. The airport shuttle stops at the Central Bus Station, South Train Station/South Bus Station, and ends at the Civil Aviation Office at 91 Xingning Road, near Carrefour. You can easily get a taxi there.

The taxi fare is about ¥40 - ¥50 from the airport to most hotels. There is a ¥10 toll to enter the airport by car, which the taxi passenger must pay. Exiting the airport is free.

IMPORTANT WARNING! Recently, the taxi drivers at the airport will attempt to overcharge you. The white Audi taxis are especially bad. Insist that the driver use the meter. If there is not a taxi meter visible, get out of the taxi. The driver will tell you that it costs ¥80 - ¥100 to go to the city - this is not true! Get the taxi driver's license number (located on the front passenger side) and call 96520 to complain. City taxi drivers are generally honest, it is only the bad apples at the airport who try to cheat you.

Airport Bus
Does the bus have number so we know which one to take?
Chad

no...

there's no number, the best place to get the bus as mentioned above is Xin Ning Road, there is a ticket office just up the road from where you actually board. Buses leave on the hour, so get there on time or else too bad!

There's a ticket office

There's a ticket office outside the airport, labeled in English as a shuttle bus.  You can also buy a ticket to Yiwu market from there. After buying the ticket, go sit in the bus until it fills up and leaves the airport.  Only worth it if you're alone, otherwise just pool your money and hire a taxi.
