It's going to be tough for you.  Understanding of dietary restrictions is not widespread.  Your best bet is to claim to be Buddhist and you'll get vegetarian food.  However, this might be a vegetable dish with the bits of meat picked out of it.

A couple of bars have Strongbow. Carrefour or Metro is your best bet.  However, many things that you might regard as normal and necessary will not be available here.  You'll have to airfreight them in or make shopping trips to Shanghai.

Hi Richelle, I think you will find it difficuilt.  I believe that msb has some form of gluten in it and msg in is just about everything here.  Good luck
