Hi,
As you might have heard we are starting a Capoeira class here in Ningbo. Capoeira is a great excersice as it involves cardio, strengthening, flexibility, and individual expression. This art also involves music and instrument playing. You will also get a chance to learn some protuguese.
Our group, "Capoeira Brasil", is the second largest in the world, so by joining it you will be joining an international community which will become your second family.
We hope to see every in class. Thur. may 16th is our first free-trial class.

Hi, I have seen capoeira on tv and everytime I have noticed that people doing it are in very good shape. I would like to ask if this is a requirement or if people who are a bit chubby or not "fit", can still attend......

There is no class this Thursday as a result of the mourning period. Next Thur. we are back on track. Classes start at 8PM and last for about 1hour. The fee has not yet been decided but participants will not have to pay an additional academy fee, just the capoeira payment.

Sure, most people that have been doing Capoeira for a while are in very good shape, and these are probably the ones you've seen on TV. However, capoeira classes are opened to everyone with no exeptions. Yound, old, in and out of shape, masculine or feminine.
Classes are fun and interesting as they are not only a combination of strength, flexibilty, and cardio, but are as well a gateway to Afro-Brazilian culture with its music, language, and rituals.
