Hi.  does anyone have any experience/feedback from the foreigner's clinic at beilun hospital, particularly with Dr. Dennis Middleton?  Is he an actual doctor?  Or, what is the BEST place to be seen if you're sick/injured if you are a foreigner?  (I have had experience with chinese doctors in Shanghai - even at worldlink...and I think I feel more comfortable with western-trained physicians...because of cultural similarities/communication barriers etc.).  Thanks!  Private message me if you like...

Luckily I have not been injued or sick this past year.  I have taken sick friends there who have been pleased with his service.  He has a healthy scepticism of some chinese medical pracitices.  (I think it is good to be sceptical of all mecial practices).  He has a good bedside manner. I know he comes from New Zealand, I do not know if he is qualified to practice medicine - I have heard rumours hat he is not.  But who believes rumours right?  When I spoke to him he said has many years of being a GP.  I would not have taken my friend there if he was not a qualified doctor.  I would recommend him to anyone.  Hope this helps.
