On the night of the 14th, the night of the full moon, families gather together,mooncakes are eaten, the moon is admired, and the legend of Chang'e is told. It's a good night to get outside, have a walk, and take some photos. Don't forget to buy mooncakes for your business contacts and loved ones! This is a major national holiday in China.

The 11th China (Xiangshan) Fishing Festival

Located in Xiangshan county, this popular local festival is held
every year in the fishing port of Shipu. The opening ceremony is on
the 14th, the fishermen's sacrifice to the sea is on the 15th, and the
ceremony of setting sail is on the 16th. Many other events occur

Celebrate Mid Autumn Festival with Essential Mandarin. Join them for a relaxing Sunday afternoon with friends and soak up some ancient local culture.
You can learn the age old art of making your very own Mooncakes.  The rule is: there are no rules!  Be creative, get messy!  But that's not all.  In an authentic atmosphere, come drink Chinese tea, be entertained with traditional Chinese music, release your own sky lanterns, play (or learn to play) Majiang, and swap stories while your mooncakes are baking.
¥100 for each person, but your afternoon will be complete and you can walk away with a classic Chinese Mid-Autumn experience to tell.  Tickets can be bought at the Essential Mandarin school, and kids are welcome at a discounted price.  You may also buy them on the day but please let us know beforehand either by email or phone.
